Description:

This was a plein air painting, adding the couple walking on the trail to the beach as it happened. This is possible if you paint quickly and have a good memory, however in this case, all that was necessary was to paint the people in very simply on the dry surface, and then with the darker hill behind them, simply paint around the heads creating the highlighs of the backlite figures. Very easy. I love painting the ocean, it always looks different.
