Great painting, great colors, and a great artist!

can really feel this one. love trees and sunsets. makes me feel emotional.

Anneke, I agree strongly with all these great expressions about this wonderful tree. The crowning stroke is the choice of title. Thank you! Whoops! Almost forgot that I wanted to mention the attention holding and mesmerizing effect of the little branches, and there interwoveness! This foreground tree (hmm, language amazes me so! Handn't ever considered the word "ground" as a part of "foreground!") draws so much attention that it is easy to overlook unconsciously the trees in the backGROUND contribute to the whole, and how there smallness helps develop depth, smaller, no doubt, only because they are further away. Finally, I love the great harmony of color, especially how the ground and upper sky are the same color, although the ground is misty or foggy. And it's easy, in this small reproduction especially, to overlook the town in the distance, with the church tower. Wonderful work, Anneke. As I've said before and have many others, accurately, that all you do is wonderful!

Lovely in this as this feels like the end of the day right before dusk and the enormous tree with its bare limbs creating a pattern is really beautiful. Thank you for you kind compliment. ;-)
