Description
Notes: My mother, Louise Jimenez, wrote a children's poem, telling a story by way of rhyming verses of the mathematical 2x tables. A boy who dreams of a magic fish and then, predictably, teams up with an elf to go fishing for it. The elf produces a magic coin, declaring it the preferred method of luring the beast. And, lo, it's a success. With the leviathan on the line, the water it kicks up with it's tail transforms into all manner of cookies and candy, filling the boat. Not that unexpected, being a magic fish and all. Overjoyed at their good fortune, they release the fish and sail home with their sweet bounty. And, by the poem's conclusion, the reader has learned the 2x tables from 2x2=4 through to 2x30=60.
