Description
Female reproductive system. Computer artwork of the female reproductive and urinary systems with the skeleton. Arteries (red), veins (blue) and nerves (yellow) are also shown. The two kidneys are at upper centre. They filter waste products from the blood. The waste products are transported as urine to the bladder (lower oval at bottom centre) via the ureters (tubes). Urine is stored in the bladder until it exits the body via the urethra (thin tube at bottom centre). The large oval at lower centre is the uterus (womb), with the two fallopian tubes (oviducts) either side of it. At the end of each fallopian tube is an ovary. The largee tube at bottom centre is the vagina.
