I understand, on all levels.

I have a very similar shot, of the other side of the staircase! lol I love how you were aboe to have a people-free shot!

Thanks Michael... Yah, a little tough to work around the thousands of camera wielding tourists. I like having people in shots - certainly adds that human touch. But it needs to be the right people. Thanks for stopping by...

If you didn't have a description I could almost mistake this for a replica of the Titanic staircase! I absolutely love this whole series of shots. Makes me jealous I can't go there!

Thanks so much Robert - sure appreciate your comments, votes and faves... Yes, the Garnier Opera House is Amazing. I spend a lot of time in Paris, and it's truly spectacular - certainly one of my favorite places there. I like it better than Versailles. I'd say pack your bags, let's go... :) Many thanks!
