A Day In The Tree Of Life
Painting - Pastel On 140lb Acid-free Fabriano Paper.
After I completed A Year in the Tree of Life, I wanted to try and paint the transition of light through a twenty hour cycle. This was harder than I thought it would be, attempting to merge the colours of the sky was not an easy thing to do. One day I will have to try this again and it will probably be another oak tree, but I have no idea where my imagination will take me again.
There is something very beautiful and majestic about oak trees and I wish I could grow them here :-)
First in the Trillium contest of a tree.
