A Desert Host 4 The Kiln
Glenn McCarthy Art and Photography
Photograph - Photograph- Digital Painting
This desert landmark is a reminder of a community from the past. There is a castle like feeling to it. The Kiln is made of desert stones and concrete. Part of the remnants of the historical old community of Llano, located in the hillside of the Mojave Desert, just outside of Valyermo in California. A surreal adventure that makes one wonder what the community was like. Sometimes... we just have to get lost in a dream. This is part of My Desert Host series.
From an original photograph that has been re-interpreted through my Photo Impression 4 program.
Isaiah 64:8 "But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand."
