Description
This is another version of the original watercolor entitled "An Oasis in the Desert". I changed the colors and mood of this painting in order to portray this abstract stormy landscape.
It reminds me of the storms that come into each one of our lives... most often when we don't expect them. And they seem to last forever when we are being deluged with a down pour of rain.
But after every desert storm, the clouds disperse and the sun eventually comes out from behind them. Although we felt like we were going to get washed away, we didn't. Instead the rain washed away our doubts and fears, and left behind pools of refreshing water on the desert floor.
Suddenly our hope returns and we are ready to view life from a new perspective... As we look at these pools of clear water on the desert floor they remind us that Jesus Christ is the one Oasis in the desert places of our lives that will never run dry.♥
