( Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved ) Somewhere between Cincinnati and Indianapolis you will find the 19th century, historic canal town of Metamora, Indiana. Actually it's just not very far from the town of Brookville, on Highway 52. There are over 50 shops selling antiques, crafts, fudge or candy and there is even a horse-pulled canal boat to the delight of tourists. While taking a casual stroll down the main street of old wood-frame buildings, I was able to enjoy the free nostalgia and take another slow trip back in time. On a bright, sunny morning this each colorful store was different than the next. Like this scene on the front porch of The Cat and The Fiddle. Although these beautiful delights of nature were meant to hang on a hook somewhere, I found them soaking up the sun inside ... A Flower Wagon.
