A Mother For Always

To those of us who have her now only in our memories the day will be one of rejoicing. If your heart is still torn with anguish; if memory of her last day on earth is still fresh in your minds; if you are still in the shadow of her passing and conscious only of the great loss you have suffered, you may not believe this, for it takes time. In a sense, which you shall some day come to experience, we are closer to our mothers now than ever before. She is with us now constantly. There are no partings; no long absences. We have only to think of her and she is with us. We can take her with us wherever we choose to go. We can wake, as children, in the night and her spirit hastens to be with us. Now she is never too ill to come, or too weary. In life the frequent absences were very real. Now neither time nor distance matter. Death has separated us only to bind us closer.
