Description:

This was a spontaneous piece I did of a Scottish Highlander, skirmishing in the Carolinas during the American Revolution. I worked to capture both a snapshot and the essence of battle: confusion, heat, peril, as skirmishers advance against the stiff opposition of American rebel picket lines.
