A Typical Karstic House
Dragica Micki Fortuna
Painting - Acrylic Fine Art
The walls of typical Karstic houses were always made of Karstic rock, rough hewn and in-filled with a mix of smaller stones, earth, straw and lime. There was an external hearth under a roof of stone slabs taken from small quarries where the limestone was particularly stratified as a result of its geological origins in a lagoon zone.
