Description:

This is one of my favorite views in Monument Valley and one I have painted again and again on every trip there and from photos taken, usually in the afternoon looking West with the buttes and mesas all backlite by the sun. At this point on the 17 miles road through the valley, you're nearly at the end and it has been a long day of painting in the hot sun. Time to get back to the restaurant before it closes down for the night, otherwise I will have to cook or drive into town to eat. TMI?
