Description:

This is a pastel I have just completed of a grove of almond trees in blossom outside the village of Fernán Pérez just up the road from me. The old mill in the background has been restored to its original state. The January sunshine in Southern Spain creates strong, bright colours and long shadows. I used French Sennelier artist’s soft pastels and their own special card for this composition.
