Almost Under The Verrazano Narrows Bridge By Trish Hebendahl ~ Explorer of the Seas. One of the great experiences sailing out of the New Jersey and New York area is sailing under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge! As the ship sails underneath this magnificent structure, it appears that the antenna will hit the lower level of the bridge.

My husband and I are always outside when we depart Cape Liberty Cruise Port. Snow, frigid temperatures or high wind will never stop us from witnessing one of the best parts of the cruise!

Hi Karen! It's so much sailing under the Verrazano Bridge. From what I was informed... the space between the antenna and the bridge is ten to fifteen feet. Thanks for the compliment.

What an interesting point of view of the bridge Trish. It looks like it barely makes it, although I assume it is an optical illusion.
