You are welcome Phong! I always enjoy your art and I love the BLUE MOOD in this painting.

Phong Trinh replied:

Thanks Becky! Yes, the mood was intentionally BLUE! The feelings of missing something deeply! You've read my mind! :-)

Phong, you are so right! A handwritten letter is a special thing and I really hope we can keep it !! Even more is to enjoy your beautiful work - as a reminder - but also standing for itself as a wonderful work!!! - VF Dagmar

Phong Trinh replied:

Thank you so much, Dagmar for your comment and support! It is faster to ipod texting (said the techno youngs). In the painting, the lady used time to treasure life! It's the only way. How to build life lasting relationship without giving it time? I have not had a clue! :-)..PT

I am enthralled with this Phong and I agree with every word. So glad you immortalized this in a sense. I still think each time I get the mail that I can't look forward to a letter written to me anymore. I got one the other day however and was shocked and exceited to hear from an old friend. I have all the old letters my father wrote to my Mother during WW11. And letters from my MOM to her sister and back. They tell stories of life and love and are heartfelt and NOT for cyberspace!!!!! You have captured that so well here!!! God bless you Phong...fv vote

Phong Trinh replied:

Thank you for the heartfelt comment, Judy! I intentionally included in the picture rubber duck, jars, cup, glasses, vases, and bottles .. things were used symbolically to contain emotion, memory, comfort... Banana skin and an apple.. ordinary basic things that were used to share, feed and survive on daily basis! Yes the ordinary to the extraordinary... a letter. Nothing compared to the letters full of love and comfort from the bomb site written by soldiers!
