Description:

This is part of the growing Anima Series of carvings from Hudson River Bark. The Anima Series is an exploration of the many s'elves we carry within us. They are always there. They always have been. They seem to emerge later in life. This triple head is from one piece of bark and has molted breast feathers from migratory songbirds as the crowning elements. These were collected between my home and my studio in October 2007. The mount is water-worn limestone I hunt in local creek beds.
