Another Internet Victim

Socializing these days seems to be all about electronic media. There's Facebook and Myspace, Twitter and text messaging, forums and chatrooms and the list goes on...... I can still remember when socializing was done at the local barber shops and front porches across America. I am not one to say that yesterday was always better than today but perhaps we really have lost an important part of our culture with the decline of the front porch. We just seem busy all the time rushing to get somewhere that we don't even want to be to communicate with people that are no where near us. This porch has long since fallen into disrepair. Could it be seen as an indictment on the hollowness of our modern electronic social networks? Perhaps it could..........
