Description:
Armageddon has an obvious ominous quality but equally full of mystery and wonder. The original painting uses metallic lacquer but the prints are of such quality that the metallic look comes through in a standard archival quality digital print.
The digital files for these prints are made from original mixed media paintings on paper scanned at very high resolution using a Cruse Synchron digital camera. The Cruse Synchron eliminates problems inherent in conventional art photography by scanning directly from a slowly moving platform using evenly distributed color calibrated lighting. The high resolution and controlled lighting allows the computer to capture very fine detail and texture ordinarily lost in the single exposure photographic process.
The resulting high resolution digital files are further worked, corrected and adjusted by the artist in Adobe Photoshop®. The resulting print out-put has the look, color and texture of the original mixed media work. Click on a square within the image to see how detailed the scans are.
