2/12/2015 Dear Mr. Davenport: I would be happy to include this painting on Ideart. To be honest, I was not crazy about the pieces you submitted a week ago, but this piece is definitely in keeping with the type of art we are looking for. This painting has interesting brushwork & is "multi-dimensional." What do I see in it? Part of the exterior of a small boat whose surface has been painted over innumerable times & whose paint is chipping off. Thank you for leaving a message about what you hope to get out of the group. You're one of a few. yours, Al Fresko

Paul Davenport replied:

Im no longer a member of the group! I actually submitted the paintings over a month ago, and, to be honest, I've lost interest. This painting wasn't done using a brush, its a metre square, and the motivation was purely conceptual, not representational of anything physical. We obviously have different interpretations of the word "idea" means!

Fantastic colors and textures melting inside in this masterpiece of yours ..Paul...l/f ..Josef

Paul Davenport replied:

Thank you Josef... actually, the colours are becoming the most time consuming thing in these paintings - the marks take very little time at all. Having done this one I thought..."oops the base colour should have been dark purple".
