Painting - Oil On Canvas
No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace,
As I have seen in one autumnal face.
The Autumn by Doris Cohen is a two panel oil on canvas painting of the autumn season. This beautiful landscape is inspired from vivid colors of autuminal folliage as seen in United States and Canada. Various shades of yellow and orange colors have been used to represent the autumn season with a delibrate infusion of light blue colors of the waters to break monogamous color flow. The colors chosen primarly are yellow, orange and blue to lend a vibrant color effect in this landscape painting. Some use of green and purple have been utilised to imply that autumn is not about a singular orange color but rather a transition. Autumn represents a changing season and in this painting that change itself is shown of as a fluid transformation, with water representing status quo. Snow clad hills in the background are painted in muted colors for two effects, first to have a seamless merging with the skies and secondly to keep focus on the ornagish and bright foreground. This beautiful landscape painting of the autumn season is painted as such to add color to your home and office décor and its vibrancy and scenic setting will appeal in all seasons and backgrounds.
