Description:
Autumn in New York and Central Park took me on a sentimental journey as I was designing and creating this medium tote. Lovely and luscious wool yarns felted beautifully along with the novelty yarns which look like clumps of variegated leaves lying around on the ground. Two ICORD handles knot at each corner for an over-the-shoulder strap/handle & I also beaded two handles for a more briefcase like look making it easy to carry either way. Lovely fall leaves cascade down the front of this bag and seem to be seeking solace on the ground below as I walk through Central Park and the leaves drift by me with a lazy breeze keeping them slightly aloft momentarily. What a story they have to tell about the people they see below. The interior top edge is finished with a lovely handstitched seed bead edge and two large interior pockets continue the Autumnal theme. The hand beaded handles fold into the bag for convenience and a totally new look just like the changing seasons present us with a new look. The interior base is twice reinforced and covered in a fashion fabric which carries on the autumnal theme. Many memories are knitted into this bag as I reminisce about my days in New York City.
