I am glad Mr. C. brought this forward to comment on, it is gorgeous. Very well done. You certainly can work textiles into textured scenes of beauty. Love the tree, it has character; love the water, it has movement; but most of all I do love those rocks, you have given them life! p.s. I like your new headshot!

SEVEN DAYS OF CREATION next. ---- Lorraine Roy 3-15-09 Hi, Lorraine, I think that I am too much in awe to write a comment right now, Lorraine. I came to your pages because I saw a comment you made on somebody's painting. Immediately I was taken in, as a distant view, by the whole first page, and the wonderful ideas I could see in using flora for images of life on earth. As I began looking and thinking about and enjoying them enlarged -- and surprisingly also found out that these lovely and thoughtful pieces were tapestries, quilted -- I thought that maybe they would be displayed more or less chronoligically (confusedly, as I am so much, I like to look at an artists sort of evolvement, although with my own work I change it around a lot according to different subject-matters or styles I see in them!); so, anyway, I went to the back of your displayed collection and started wending my way forward. It didn't take me long to realize that I had found something that would take me a long to appreciate at all as it deserved, and I deserved, too. So I've decided to try to concentrate on one a day, sort of the way one deals with a book of daily meditations, and also be able to go back and forth to reread, to reconsider, in the context of newly acquired thoughts and views or particular feelings, or just to know better and to enjoy, sharing with others, etc.-- all the ways we utilize works of art. AUTUMN SHORELINE may be my favorite right now as a thing of peace and beauty that I love to look at, and to think about, THE SEVEN DAYS OF CREATION. I really appreciate your remarks in the Discussion section. So thank you, Lorraine, and I’ll be seeing you and yours, in your wonder-filled works!
