A gorgeous hiking path awaits the visitor on the trail to Proctor, a ghost town in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This old town was flooded over when the Fontana Dam was built, all of it's residents relocated. Some of the town is still accessible by boat and a 2 mile hike along the creek where some of the farm houses and 2 cemeteries remain above water. This image was captured in full autumn color on a misty morning in October.
