What intrigued me about these huge monoliths was the irregularity of their shapes. Originally they were blocks which were symetrical and apparently local inhabitants , because of the absence of local building materials, would build fires around them and after the heat had increased threw icy water at them thereby causing them to split into sizes easy to handle for the purpose of building.
