Back Of The Grist Mill
The Wayside Inn grist mill, constructed in 1924, was commissioned by Henry Ford. It was used mostly to grind corn, wheat, and rye. The mill still produces flour to this day for the restaurant at the Wayside Inn. This image was taken at the back of the mill in October at the peak of foliage season. A mirror reflection is cast in the water channel that supplies power to turn the mill wheel.
