Photograph - Fine Art Light Painting
"Bandit" is a result of the notion that I could "paint" with my camera, using the light passing through the lens to apply colors onto the imaging surface with a single exposure. In doing so, I create light paintings such as this, strictly by the photographic process. Yet these are actual photographs, usually the entire full frame image, with only minor post capture processing to change contrast and color density. This particular image uses a very basic technique, but the results transform the mundane into visual fantasy and evoke a completely different response to the scene by the viewer. This is the first public exhibition of "Bandit". It is a full frame, 2:3 ratio format image, and is featured in my Creative Photography gallery.
