Bannack Ghost Town Kitchen And Stove - Montana Territory
The kitchen area of the pioneer home occupied by Dr. Erasmus Darwin Leavitt, Bannack Montana's physician.
A good wood stove was a prerequisite for surviving Montana's bitter cold winters in the late 19th century. Bannack is a ghost town from the 1860's old west mining days that is exceptionally preserved and located in the southwest corner of Montana State's high desert country.
