Description:

The landscape here was taken at Lassen Nat'l park, in CA. The 'bear' (a wood carving) was taken somewhere along the coast in southern Oregon or Northern CA, at one of those places that does redwood carvings with chainsaws. I really wanted to buy one, but they seemed a bit too expensive at the time. In retrospect? I shoulda bought one! When I took the landscape photo at a turn-out in Lassen, I chatted w/ an NPS park ranger, who said there were sightings of a bear, in the valley below.... "There's a bear, down there!" "No, really, where??" "Down there, cantcha see 'em?".... Whatever it is you want to see, you have to look hard.....
