Description
One of the first places that I decided to visit during my 2-days stay in Beijing was Beihai Park.
Beihai Park was first built in the 11th century as an imperial garden. Now it is a public park. It is located to the northwest of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Today, it is one of the largest of all Chinese gardens and contains numerous historically important structures, palaces, and temples. Since 1925, Beihai Park has been open to the public as a park. The park has an area of more than 69 hectares (171 acres), with a lake that covers more than half of the entire park. At the center of the park is an island called Jade Flower Island with a giant white dagoba in the center.
This image shows the main bridge that leads from the main entrance of the park through the largest pavilion leading into the elaborate and intricate gardens and rock structures in the back. The structures and scenes in the park are described as masterpieces of gardening technique that reflects the style and the superb architectural skill and richness of traditional Chinese garden art.
I hope you like this scene.

A beautiful reflection and I love the red! l/f
Hany J replied:
Hello again Elaine; as you can imagine, China is the "capital" of red... LOL If they can paint everything in red they probably would. This is one of my favorite parks in Beijing to go visit and photograph as there are so many photographic opportunities in this massive park. This visit was different for me as I have never been around October, so it gave me a chance to see it in a different light. So glad you like this one too. Hany
