This is a historic home at Tallahassee Museum.
Bellavue Plantation relocated and restored at the Museum, was the Tallahassee home of Catherine Murat, George Washington's great-grandniece. She became a French princess by marriage to Napoleons nephew, Achille Murat.
Murat owned the house from 1854 until her death in 1867. The accompanying exhibit explores the areas plantation communities, free and slave, and includes two reconstructed buildings--the plantation kitchen and a slave cabin.

Passionate about landscape, nature, wildlife, plants, the environment, and the unusual! I take great pride in producing these images that represent Northwest Florida. I strive to create the strongest composition possible in the camera rather than through a lot of editing.
We live in such a fast moving society that today many people don't stop long enough to enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. I like to photograph those moments that others might miss.
