I keep going back to this one to enjoy the burst of color here......the painting you refer to with bobbie magee is the old Stage Door honky tonk in the french quarter....i picked this song because i played it on the juke box here millions of times, on saltry nites...gazing out the doorways,watching tourists go by.In 1971 i heard her perform outside the city at a pop festival...the first verses she sings about writing the song as she drives from Baton Rouge on her way to New Orleans..LOVE TED
