Description:

Part of my bioluminescent series, BIOFLY is an imaginative look at deep sea dwellers. At first glance perhaps you see a butterfly, but upon second look you realize this is no butterfly, it's a bio-fly. Its glowing tail is a lure for its prey.

I admire how some creatures can appear to be one thing and are actually something entirely else. I find it especially fascinating when a creature is able to look like prey to another when in fact they are a predator. Many creatures such as these lurk in the deep depths of the sea, a perfect stage for deception.
