The emphasis for this abstract image are the strong verticle lines, texture and a colorful pallatte of autumn foliage. The Birch trunks were found in a cluster of trees in rural Vermont. The gorgeous mix of vivid Reds, Orange and Yellows juxtapose the bright white trees and compliment each other well.
A little about how the photographer "paints a picture with his camera". The technique is called a pan blur, and in this case it happens to be a verticle pan blur. Experience helps the artist visualize how he wants the final image to appear including the precise location of the trunks in the frame. The end result is a pleasing painterly abstract image that rivals the work of an impressionistic painting.
This image is quite impressive as a Canvas Gallery wrap.
