Description
Image taken with Canon 5DSR, 50MP, outstanding printing quality and large sizes can be printed. Constructed by Woolwine and Hirons, the architects also responsible for the Davidson County Courthouse, this limestone office building exemplifies the PWA Modern architectural style combining Classical Greek architecture commonly used in American government buildings mixed with Art Deco detailing. The vertical bands and leaf-like motif along the cornice are characteristics of this Classical Greek style. On the interior is a lobby of marble, terrazzo, and brass with murals by WPA artist Dean Cornwell illustrating the Discovery of Tennessee and the Development of Tennessee.
