Thanks, Barbara for your comment on my work! I use mostly ColorFix pastel paper - it is like fine sand paper and it eats my pencils quite quickly, but I can't resist it because it gives lovely texture which is great for hair and fur! Yelena

Yelena, It's probably been twenty years ago that I saw a young, black arabian stallion at a horse shoe. He was tied to a post with a light blue halter. He was snorting and pawing at the ground as if he couldn't wait his turn. I didn't know it then, but that beautiful memory has stayed with me all these years. This lovely drawing made me think of him.
