Painting - Oil, Mixed Media To Give Heart A 3d.
Larger prints available soon. Or contact the artist for numbered and signed giclee prints. One of three in a portrait style with a heart series. This is a take on cubism and my love of Picasso. Many of my works have contradictions, like a smile while the heart is bleeding. This one is full of color, movement and vitality, but it is also about tremendous pain as the flower that is using the heart as a vase is a red Bleeding heart flower. The heart series I did shortly after I lost my spouse. It was my way of grieving. This one has symbolic symbols throughout it... one being one side of her hair is blue (bc she is blue and sad), while the other side is colorful. She is getting things done; a widow puts on her day mask, and takes care of her family --so they can survive. I will leave the rest for the viewer to find to not spoil the painting's discovery. Painted from expression --for all the young widows that I have meet in my quest to aid those who have suffered loss. The charity is named: Life after Mike, and so it the upcoming book.
