Painting - Watercolor
Her name means, "Flower Face", she was created from the flowers of oak, broom and meadowsweet.
Early in Celtic lore, she was viewed as a May queen, bound in sacred marriage to the sacrificial king, who must eventually be sacrificed to her and through her to his people.
Later writings accuse her of killing the husband she was forced to wed, and turned into an owl as punishment.
