Blood And Guts II - Outer Banks
Painting - Fine Art Print
Blood and Guts was the name of this boat that was beached by a storm onto the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I shot this boat many times over many seasons at various times of the day. It was a favorite subject of mine until it was finally washed back out to sea by a tropical storm; Available in traditional fine art photography and original art print versions; this is the original art print; 2942
As mentioned in the description of other images in this gallery of this scene, this boat, beached by a storm, was one of my favorite subjects to shoot. I did so over many months and in all seasons. This image is from early on. Here, the ocean has not worn away the name of the boat and it can be clearly seen the name was Blood and Guts, not Bloody Mary as some have thought.
This picture was taken in the summer with the sun in the north so getting wet in the cold Atlantic to get the shot was not really a problem. This version was digitally re-painted to give it a painting style.
