Thanks for the comment, Liz. I am aware the most people row facing the stern, but there is more than one way to skin a cat here in the South. This painting is based on a photo I took of a crabber in Old Tampa Bay - he was faced forward - most likely to see where the next crab trap was located - I've often seen these guys row facing forward to go about 10 feet to get the next float in their line of traps.

Hi Ruth... Nice painting..water, colour is great! Sorry! Have one little problem with it, .... last time I rowed a skip, I rowed facing back..rowing front forward..easier that way! ;-)) Yes!!?? Liz
