Description:

A detail of the blue Ice (or of the blue sky reflected in new Ice) on a lake, near the place I teach art to nuns. It was a beautiful, sunny, WINTER morning with an intensely blue sky. The ice was thin and transparent, the first of the winter, I think. I made a intense blue pattern with the shadows of the fire trees from a near isle reflected also in the mirror ice.
