This is a wonderful piece! You got in dark darks and glowing lights, and it's a good composition. Your work is so inspired! And thank you for your extremely gracious comments about my watercolors. You are so sweet. And you reminded me to check out your site again. I wish I made time more often to see what my favorite artists have been doing.

Another of the numerous examples of your vision, tastes and skills, Anne-Elizabeth, which, added to your kindness and encouraging comments to so many artists, account for your greatly deserved reputation here and many places. Thank you for this soft, peaceful, and restfully exciting demonstration that blues do not have to be cold nor tranquilizing, especially when structured so pleasantly in ascending amounts of color and sharpness of detail. It's something like timed photographs. And your title and comment just fit it. Let me boast a title I once tried to paint, but nary painted it this well: "There is Beauty in the Dying of a Rose." Peace, etc., Bruce
