I would say that it was a windy day ..the ripple pattern in the background is very neat yet the middle calm ..as is there was a corridor on both sides with underwater currents..kind of neat..

That might work as well. I tried covering first the top and then the bottom of the image, without it really helping me decide. My eyes keep being drawn to the color contrasts on the horizon - the orange, blue, topaz and black. For me, I think the picture would "settle" a bit if the horizon wasn't in the middle. As Randy says, it's a great shot in any case, but we all see things differently. Love the colors.

Hi Kami, great shot, wish I had taken it. If I should critique it at all....i'd say that the dividing line between the reflection and the water/sky shouldn't be directly in the middle vertically. My eye tends to jump up and down a bit. Would sinking the horizon give it a little more depth? Otherwise, great capture and colors. Eric
