Nice! Pounding Mill Overlook is notorious for fog action in the deep valley below Pisgah--I never tire of seeing that sort of scene! Wonderful sunrise landscape here.
Michael Weeks replied:
Thank you Mark for the kind comments! I absolutely love chasing the sea of clouds and is pretty much what I constantly dream about! Thanks again Mark!
Michael Weeks replied:
Not the pounding mill just a spot on the side of the road I find pounding mill over run and kind of boring In respect to the compositional lay of the land

Stunning capture!! v.f added to watch list!
Michael Weeks replied:
Thank you very much Gray for everything and the fog in the mountains of Western North Carolina totally fascinates me and the mountains around there are great at anytime of the year. Thanks again for the positive comments. I am going to have to give most of the credit to mother nature
Bryan Bzdula
Amazing shot!
Michael Weeks replied:
Thank you very much Bryan. I am heading to the very spot in the next few days in search of the fog. There is nothing that I would rather be doing than chasing the sea of clouds. Thanks again and have a good evening.
Lydia Holly
Absolutely stunning! v/f
Michael Weeks replied:
Thank you Lydia for the vote and for the compliment. You all have me ready to get to the mountains to seek out the sea of clouds. There is nothing that I would rather be doing. It is such a glorious sight to see and finding the sea of clouds is kind of like fishing, you never know what you are going to catch. Thanks again Lydia.
Douglas Taylor

Michael, you have a real winner here! I understand it looks like that above the Rogue Valley many times in the winter... but I rarely get to see it because I live IN the Rogue Valley... LOL!!! Great shot, a F and V for me :)
Michael Weeks replied:
I can understand that because I am usually driving through the heavy fog in the valley to get up to the mountains to find the foggy paradise down below. Thanks for the kind words and the vote Mick
Nadine and Bob Johnston

Laura Bentley
What an amazing site this must have been. Fabulous photograph! V/F
Michael Weeks replied:
Thank you Laura. I live and breath to go and find the sea of clouds in the mountains. It is always a site to behold and it was special on this particuklar morning. On this day I drove about a 10 mile stretch of the parkway before dawn on the lookout for the fog in numerous valley's and out of about a dozen valley's this was the only spot on that particular day where the fog could be found. Thanks and have a good evening. Michael
Odd Jeppesen
So serene.
Michael Weeks replied:
Thanks you Odd Jeppesen. I dream about the fog and mist up in North Carolina. Recently I was on the parkway and I met two fellows from your homeland, they were from Copenhagen, Denmark. I have an extreme fondness as well for Denmark, I travelled there many times years ago.
