Blue Way Through
Digital Art - Digital Painting
This is a horizontally arranged, triptych digital painting. It evolved from some black and smoky swirls on a white canvas. I didn't know what it would be until I shaped it a bit and then added a thin brighter slice from another of my paintings--the part which is lightest and brightest here. I seem to always be creating at an intuitive level, tapping into my own life and emotions but with suggestions and possibilities that I hope are universal. Much of life is lonely and solitary, especially if we are ill and as we get older and maybe have no close family or friends. The past and future are clouded over--one with our fading memories and the other with unknown and eventually more difficult or painful times toward the end of life. The present path is what we have. All along the way, if we look, we will find bright jewels of beauty: flowers, trees, smiles, music, birdsong. During the darkest time, I discovered that even grey skies are endlessly fascinating and beautiful, because they have constant subtle changes and movement. This is some of what the painting means to me.
