I agree this is intriguing. The bird is so mysterious. How could it be there? The sunflowers appear to by against a wall or laying on a table which is why we see shadows. So there seems to be a level of spirituality that makes this scene possible! The same with your Dad painting. The soft haze you used indicated your love for your father. I thought your feelings for him explained the overhead angle which felt like you hovering above him.

wonderful feel. parts of it are "van gogh-ish" and the little blue bird lends interest.
