Description
In a 77-million-year-old wetland in Montana, the individual of Brachylophosaurus canadensis (far right) bellows a call, warning his herd of an ambush by a Daspletosaurus torosus (background, left). A pair of azhdarchid pterosaurs survey the scene aerially while a Basilemys turtle observes from the water in the foreground. This image was featured in an exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, entitled "Dinosaur Mummy CSI: Cretaceous Science Investigation" (September 19, 2008 - January 11, 2009).
