Description
Broken Dreams
by Paul Shier
While Jimmy Page always used a double neck guitar to play "Stairway to Heaven" he would sometimes play a few notes to tease the audience with his favourite guitar, a Les Paul Gibson.
I was inspired to do this sculpture a few years ago while in North Bay. Watching the finger movements dance along the guitar was like watching a ballet dancer floating across the stage.
This sculpture is carved in marble, stands 101 cm tall and weighs 41 kg. This sculpture was one of three to be show at the Florence Biennale 2007 and has returned to Canada with a new look!
