Painting - Oil On Canvas
This finely carved wakahuia (Treasure Box) was painted from a original piece carved in Rotorua New Zealand 180 years ago. Representing marriage and birth. It was filled with fine food an berries and used on special occassions. The Bowl sitting on the Back of Kuri (Dog) is a very high symbol to Maoridom with 2 guardians holding up the sun.
This Wakahuia is a good omen for families and home, bringing well being and plenty.
