"It's a Small World", as the saying goes.....this scenario would not have entered my mind!.. I joined the NCS 3 years ago to escape from the narrow-minded collage group that I once belonged to, there were too many rules and definitions as to what a collage is; and my work was too freeform for them. The real powers-that-be of the collage world are in Ohio where the National Collage Show jury meets, and I'm still amazed that they chose one of my works each of the last 3 years...after 40 years of being an anonymous artist I'm quite honored to be a signature member, though I still sometimes forget to add NCS after my signature. I hope that you entered 2 of your finest works in this year's show, your work deserves to be seen far and wide!

Description:

This piece was selected by a jury to be included in the 2011 National Collage Show. It was constructed from an old print of Buddha, a French painting of a Garden scene, canteloupe images from grocery ads, and various people and statues selected to give the crowd some diversity.
